YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES
“For Young People, With Young People, By Young People”
During the current Rotary Year, we have been very successful in breaking new ground, and to some extent we need to have a period of consolidation in the months ahead. However, there are a few new ideas that we would like to develop whilst taking into consideration the fore-mentioned motto.
1. R.Y.L.A.
We supported R.Y.L.A. in 2010,Talk to your school OR
contact the web site/Club for details of 2012 activities
2. Arts Festival.
The Rotary Club of Wednesbury supported this event in 2011
Tuesday June 28th & Wednesday June 29th
3. Interact.
With the chartering of two new Interact Clubs at Wood Green High School and Stuart Bathurst Catholic High School, we continue to support both Clubs and ensure they go from strength to strength in building their membership and carrying out their projects.

of local care and nursing homes. The cost of the lunch was met by raising
money fom various schemes namely;

Bake a Cake Sale, Crazy Tie & Tights day
4. Joe Clews Award.
Each of the Senior Schools were again requested to select a worthy recipient of this award. The winners were invited to Stuart Bathurst in
March 2011 to receive their certificates and cheques.
5. Young Chef. We will try again to find a candidate to
represent us in the District Competition.
6. Sandwell Young Carers
